Clients Who have Not Bought a Product Export
CREATE EXPORT TEMPLATES
You will need two templates. One template to export All clients and one Template to export the Clients who have already brought the item.
Template 1: All Clients
- Go to Reports -> Export Spreadsheets
- Click Add New and then Yes to design new Report
- Fill in Report Properties
- Name: As required. E.g. Client Export
- Category: Usually under Client
- Printer: Reports1
- Table Link: Cln->Anm->Bil
- Use Following Tables: Tick Clients, Client addresses and Client Contact.
- One Entry Per: Set to Client
- Leave other setting as defaults
- Save and Exit.
Template 2: Clients who Have already brought Item
- Go to Reports -> Export Spreadsheets
- Click Add New and then Yes to design new Report
- Fill in Report Properties
- Name: As required. E.g. Clients Who have brought Item
- Category: Usually under Client
- Printer: Reports1
- Table Link: Cln->Bil->Anm
- Use Following Tables: Tick Clients, Bill, Bill Items, Products
- One Entry Per: Set to Client
- Leave other setting as defaults
- Save and Exit.
RUNNING EXPORTS
Export for All Clients
- Go to Reports -> Export Spreadsheets
- Select Category you have saved export under
- Double click Export Name. E.g. Client Export
- The filters page will open. Select filters as required, eg. Last Visit Dates
- Click Next and Details for Export File will open
- Fill in Export Settings. Depending on preference on combo can be used but standard setting are;
- Fieldnames in File: Tick
- Surrounds fields with: Double Quote
- Separate Fields with: Comma
- Folder: Location to save file.
- FileName: Filename to save file as (no extension required, it will save as CSV).
- Click Export to Export file.
Export for Clients who Have already brought Item
- Go to Reports -> Export Spreadsheets
- Select Category you have saved export under
- Double click Export Name. E.g. Clients Who have brought Item
- The filters page will open. Select filters as required, eg. Bill Date Range, Product or Product Category
- Click Next and Details for Export File will open
- Fill in Export Settings. Depending on preference on combo can be used but standard setting are;
- Fieldnames in File: Tick
- Surrounds fields with: Double Quote
- Separate Fields with: Comma
- Folder: Location to save file.
- FileName: Filename to save file as (no extension required, it will save as CSV).
- Click Export to Export file.
USE EXCEL TO FIND CLIENTS WHO HAVE NOT BROUGHT ITEM
- Open both files in excel.
- Copy everything on Clients Who have brought Item workbook to new worksheet on All Client workbook.
- Remove columns from both worksheets that are not needed to make it easier to manage. Make sure you leave the Client Number field.
- On All Clients worksheet had a new column to the end called Bought Item.
- Use Vlookup function to see if client is also on the Bought Item worksheet.
- Eg. =VLOOKUP(A2,'Brought Item'!A:K,1,0)
- Copy formula down entire column
- Sort the Bought Item column alphabetically.
- If there is a client number then the client has bought the item, if the value is #N/A the client has not bought the item.
