Bixolon SPP-R310 Label Printer Setup

  1. Change printer into Label Printing function
    1. Turn on the printer power
    2. Open the paper cover and press and hold down the paper feed button for longer than two seconds
    3. After the buzzer tone is emitted, insert paper and close the cover
    4. Repeat the steps above to return to receipt mode (if required)

  2. Auto Calibrate the printer
    1. Turn the printer power off while in label print mode
    2. Press and hold down the paper feed button and then press the power button.
    3. After the following printout is outputted, press the power button to perform auto calibration
      1. Select the mode
      2. Auto Calibration: Power Button
      3. Self-Test: Feed Button

  3. Pair Bluetooth printer with Windows laptop/surface (PIN 0000)
  4. Install Windows driver provided* and select COM port from paired device (You can find COM port number from Control Panel - Devices and Printers - SPP-R310 - Properties - Hardware tab - Standard Serial over Bluetooth link COMX)
  5. Setup custom size page size VetLink to 70x40mm (or near approximation)
  6. Setup paper type to Ticket
  7. Setup orientation to Portrait
  8. Under document settings type <FF> into End Page field for proper gap detection

**Note: if Bluetooth pairing says ‘driver unavailable’, see below.
Driver mihgt be downloads folder, run the .exe and uninstall driver, reboot PC, install driver, continue as normal.
