VetlinkPRO Cloud Remote Access Setup

AWS REMOTE ACCESS - Windows PC

PC GATEWAY SETUP

A gateway connection is used where the clinic does not have a static IP that can be used to restrict access in the firewall. It will also be used when if a user is not connecting from the clinic, i.e. at home or on the road. Note: Password cannot be saved with a gateway setup
  1. Enter Logon Settings on General tab as configured by network engineer
    1. Computer / IP: xxx-rds-2a.cloud.p2plimited.com
    2. Username: e.g. cloud\xxxuser1
  2. Click Advanced tab the click Settings button
  3. Configure Connection Settings
    1. Tick Use these RD Gateway server Settings
    2. Server Name: cloud.p2plimited.com
    3. Tick Use my RD Gateway Credentials for the remote computer
  4. Go to Experience Tab
    1. Change Connection Speed to Modem (56 kbps)
    2. Leave Performance tick boxes unchecked
    3. Persistent Bitmap Caching and Reconnect if Connection dropped should be ticked.
  5. Go back to General tab and Save the connection.
  6. Connect and enter password.


PC DIRECT REMOTE ACCESS

If the clinic has a static IP direct remote access connection can be restricted to just those from the clinic IP address. With Direct Remote Access connections the password can be saved.
  1. Make sure clinic has static IP and remote access port is open in AWS firewall. Port access should be restricted by IP.
  2. Enter Logon Setting on General tab as configured by network engineer
    1. Computer / IP: IP address as per royal TS
    2. Username: e.g. cloud\xxxuser1
    3. Tick Allow Me to Save Credentials
  3. Go to Experience Tab.
    1. Change Connection Speed to Modem (56 kbps)
    2. Leave Performance tick boxes unchecked
    3. Persistent Bitmap Caching and Reconnect if Connection dropped should be ticked.
  4. Save the connection.
  5. Connect using password set by network admin

AWS REMOTE ACCESS - APPLE MAC/iPad

APPLE MAC GATEWAY SETUP

  1. Download and install Windows App from the App Store.                             
  2. Click on the “+” button at the top right of the screen.
  3. Select Add PC
  4. Enter Details as below;
    1. PC Name enter: xxx-rds-2a.cloud.p2plimited.com
    2. Credentials > Add Credentials...
      1. Username: Cloud\xxxuser?
      2. Password: 
      3. Friendly Name: Vetlink UserX
    3. Friendly Name: Vetlink
    4. Group: Saved PCs
    5. Gateway > Add Gateway
      1. Gateway Name: cloud.p2plimited.com
      2. Friendly Name: Vetlink
      3. User Account: Use PC User Account
  5. Click on Add to create Connection
  6. Finished connection should look as per below.




APPLE MAC DIRECT REMOTE ACCESS

  1. Make sure clinic has static IP and remote access port is open in AWS firewall. Port access should be restricted by IP.
  2. Download and install Windows App from the App Store.       
  3. Click on the “+” button in the top right corner
  4. Select Add PC
  5. Enter the following details:
    1. PC name: IP address as per royal TS 
    2. Credentials > Add Credentials...
      1. Username: Cloud\xxxuser?
      2. Password: 
      3. Friendly Name: Vetlink UserX
    3. Friendly Name: Vetlink
    4. Group: Saved PCs
    5. Gateway: No Gateway
  6. Click on Add to create Connection
  7. Finished connection should look as per below.


AWS REMOTE ACCESS - ANDROID

ANDROID GATEWAY SETUP

  1. Click on + in the top right corner and select “Desktop” then “ADD MANUALLY”
    1. PC Name: xxx-rds-2a.cloud.p2plimited.com
  2. Under “User name” click “Enter every time” then select “Add user account”
    1. Username: e.g. cloud\xxxuser1
    2. Password:
  3. Under Gateway click on “No gateway” then “Add gateway”
    1. Server name: cloud.p2plimited.com
    2. User account leave it on default i.e. “Use desktop user account”
  4. In the top right hand corner of “Add desktop” window press “SAVE”

ANDROID DIRECT REMOTE ACCESS

  1. Make sure clinic has static IP and remote access port is open in AWS firewall. Port access should be restricted by IP.
  2. Enter Logon Setting on General tab as configured ny network engineer

    3. Password:
  3. In the top right hand corner of “Add desktop” window press “SAVE"
