Attaching files received via email to patient and client in VetlinkPro.
File naming.
The first character of the file name determines where that file will end up in Vetlink.
The last portion of the file name is the number indicating the record the file will link to
P | Patient Document Manager | Patient number |
C | Client Document Manager | Client number |
H | Patient Clinical history | Patient number |
For patient clinical history the file will be attached to the last open bill if present otherwise one will be created.
E.g. P12345.pdf will attach to patient #12345 document manager
E.g. C54872.doc will attach to client #54872 document manager
E.g. H12345.JPG will attach to the clinical history of the last OPEN bill for patient #12345
For multiple images or files you can add a description after the relevant number, this will be used as a description in VetlinkPro.
E.G. C54872 Credit agreement.pdf
To rename multiple files at once:
- Highlight all files
- Right click one and select rename
- Use correct file name as mention above then add a space and add a description. E.g H12345 Jacks xrays.
- This will rename all files the same with a numbering system added at the end E.g H12345 Jacks xrays (1), H12345 Jacks xrays (2)
You can now add the files to the VL2ATTACH folder located on your desktop. Once processed these will appear in the correct location depending on the file naming.
They will also appear in Endorse Lab Reports where they can be Endorsed or Moved if wrong.
