AWS RDS UK/EUR/ME Apple MAC setup

APPLE MAC GATEWAY SETUP

  1. Download and install Microsoft Remote Desktop 10 (now called windows app) from the App Store.                             
  2. Click on the “+” button at the top of the screen to add PC.
  3. Enter Details as below;
    1. PC Name enter: xxx-uk-rds-2a.cloud.p2plimited.com
    2. User Account select: Add User Account…
      1. Username: Cloud\xxxuser?
      2. Password: Password will be emailed in a separate email if required.
      3. Friendly Name: Vetlink UserX
    3. Friendly Name: Vetlink
    4. Group: Saved Desktops
    5. Gateway: Add Gateway
      1. Gateway Name: uk.cloud.p2plimited.com
      2. Friendly Name: Vetlink
      3. User Account: Use Desktop User Account
  4. Click on Add to create Connection
  5. Finished connection should look as per below.
  

  APPLE MAC DIRECT REMOTE ACCESS
  1. Make sure clinic has static IP and remote access port is open in AWS firewall. Port access should be restricted by IP.
  2. Click on the “New” button in the top left corner
  3. Enter the following details in the “Edit Remote Desktops-“
    1. Connection name: Name for the connection
    2. PC name: IP address as per royal TS 
    3. User name: e.g. cloud\xxxuser1
    4. Password: Password will be emailed in a separate email if required.
  4. Save the connection by pressing the red circular button in the top left of the window
